I am continually amazed at how fast a year goes by. When you are staring at the face of January with all of the fresh starts that a new year brings, you quickly find yourself saying..."It's the 30th already?!?" So here I sit. I'm trying not to beat myself us too much for allowing THREE MONTHS to pass since I last posted. I am extending myself some grace. SOOOO much has changed in our family in the last 3 months. D was offered a wonderful promotion in his job and we are adjusting to what this new role requires of him and of the rest of us. (You will notice that D's face is blurred in all of our posted pictures. For his safety.) I'm learning so much as I grow closer to my Savior....fear less and cling more! To the cross!
In saying goodbye to 2014, the kids and I found ourselves joining a new group with school. We are now a part of the Classical Conversations group based out of Plainfield. We are beyond thrilled to have found this amazing group and truly believe this is what we have been looking for in our quest for what homeschool is to be for us. *SIGH* --who am I kidding...*insert DEEP SIGH* This has been a tremendous blessing to us. The group has embraced and loved us since we stepped through the door on day 1.

Our favorite time of the year is Oct 31-January 2nd! Our family completely embraces Halloween, Thanksgiving, CHRISTmas and New Years festivities!! We love building memories with our lovies! As quickly as I say that that is our favorite time of the year...I think of the beauty that God allows us to see in Spring time and all the fun that we have in Spring and Summer. OK--we love it all. Isn't that how it should be though...each day as a gift, embrace it and treasure it. I promise you, your babies won't stay little but for only a moment.
Tomorrow morning, Lord willing, we will begin our day with giving praise to God that we are together again, gathered around our beat up wooden table. Oh the precious memories made around that beautiful table. We will then dig into the wonder of math, onto our Spelling then soak up all the fun of our CC adventures in order to prepare to go back to class on the 12th. We are playing MAJOR catch-up due to our late entrance into the group this year. We couldn't be more thrilled for the challenge! To God be the glory!
